TECHNOLOGY & INFRASTRUCTURE

In this age of ever present and evolving cyber-threats, FHC understands the importance of safeguarding consumer data. We go to great lengths, using industry best practices and state-of-the art security products, to insure data is protected.  Secure encrypted systems and applications are implemented for both the transfer and the storage of sensitive information.

Our information security program covers all major security framework controls, and has been audited and certified compliant with:

Federal Information Security Management Act

FISMA is the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002. FISMA reaffirmed NIST’s role of developing information security standards (Federal Information Processing Standards) and guidelines (Special Publications in the 800-series) for non-national security federal information systems and assigned NIST some specific responsibilities.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard

The PCI Security Standards Council touches the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide. A global organization, it maintains, evolves and promotes Payment Card Industry standards for the safety of cardholder data across the globe.

ISO/IEC 27002:2013 gives guidelines for organizational information security standards and information security management practices including the selection, implementation and management of controls taking into consideration the organization's information security risk environment(s).

The FTC is the only federal agency with both consumer protection and competition jurisdiction in broad sectors of the economy.

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires financial institutions – companies that offer consumers financial products or services like loans, financial or investment advice, or insurance – to explain their information-sharing practices to their customers and to safeguard sensitive data.
