Training and Mentoring
F. H. Cann & Associates has developed a robust training program that provides training on all aspects of the collection process including applicable federal and state collection laws and regulations, information security, industry terminology, customer service concepts, collection and skip-tracing techniques, and system software technology. In addition, FHC conducts extensive FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)training and testing for its personnel.
The initial training period runs between 2-4 weeks. The length of each class is based on factors such as the complexities of the portfolio and the level of experience the new hire possesses. Each training class is specific to that client’s requirements. New employees are evaluated on their training and must receive a passing score before being assigned to a portfolio.
Once assigned to their respective groups, during the first 30 days, all new hires continue to be monitored and mentored by their Team Lead and Supervisor including one-on-one coaching. We have found that this has resulted in our employees quickly becoming more effective at generating recoveries and supporting client expectations.
In addition, FHC conducts ongoing training throughout the year as well as annual testing to ensure our staff are up-to-date on any changes in the industry.
