We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Frank H. Cann Co-Ed 3V3 Basketball Tournament will take place on August 9, 2025, at the Methuen High School Field House. This event is held in memory of FHC’s late Founder, Frank H. Cann and all proceeds raised support The Movement Family (TMF) of Lawrence, MA for individuals struggling with homelessness. Frank served on the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of TMF, and he played a pivotal role in helping TMF transition into an official 501(c) (3) Non-Profit organization, establishing a board, and beginning the process to trademark TMF’s brand.
The Frank H. Cann Basketball Tournament located at Methuen High School is inspired by Frank’s love for basketball, generosity, sincerity, and caring spirit. He was raised and educated in Methuen, MA and graduated from Methuen High School in 1983 as the Class Honor Essayist. He went on to be an honorable man, businessman, father, husband, and a pillar of his community, turning his company into a widely respected and prosperous family business who gives back to the local community. Frank believed in the mission of TMF, a program dedicated to gathering with homeless individuals weekly for family dinners and events to offer them a second family.
The people in Frank’s life reflect that “The biggest lesson learned from Frank is the importance of selflessness, importance of friendship, and the importance of concern for others.”
